Our Vision
A Future With More Peace of Mind
HUM Systems is a Berlin-based IoT company that was established in 2017. Founded by Ali Reza Humanfar and soon joined by his wife Helena and brother Amir, HUM Systems started small with only three employees and has, within the span of two years, expanded to around 20 full-time employees. In addition, and despite the relative youth of the company, they have already made their presence known on the German smart home market and are planning on expanding throughout the UK and France.
Our Strengths
What makes HUM Systems such a strong and vibrant company
By cooperating with the energy provider Vattenfall, HUM Systems has already produced two generations of their flagship product, Livy Protect, and are set to unveil their third generation at the end of 2020. The Livy App, which accompanies the Livy Protect, is updated and improved on a constant and consistent basis, in order to bring greater usability to their customers. Ali Reza Humanfar
CEO & Founder
Ali Reza Humanfar founded HUM Systems GmbH in 2017 and is both the CEO and Head of Development. As a Senior Development Engineer, he has developed smart home applications based on Telekom's QIVICON platform for both Vattenfall and RheinEnergie. In addition, he was Head of Software Development at ALRE, Head of Technology at GreenPocket, Senior Consultant for QIVICON at Deutsche Telekom and has contributed to the development of the IoT platform for ProSyst (acquired from Bosch SI).
Helena Peralta
CHRO & Co-Founder
Helena Peralta is part of the founding team and is the HR Manager at HUM Systems GmbH. She draws on her professional experience as Assistant to the Management at the Hedwig and Robert Samuel Foundation and professional experience at the Video-on-Demand platform Zattoo, in order to aid in the development of HUM Systems. With her university degree in Latin American Studies and the ability to speak 4 languages, she acquires internationally outstanding candidates from the IT sector to further bolster the HUM Systems team.
Amir Humanfar
CMO & Co-Founder
Amir Humanfar is responsible for marketing and communication activities of the smart home brand Livy and is part of the founding team. Previously, he worked at leading WPP/GroupM agency Mediacom and global entertainment producer Endemol Shine. There he was responsible for the international project management of the client Coca Cola. With an additional university degree in political science and philosophy, he strengthens his expertise for a strategic and sustainable development of HUM Systems GmbH.
Philipp Gsching
CTO
Philipp joined the team in 2019 and is CTO of HUM Systems. He is expert for embedded software, operating systems and RF protocols as well as for circuit design and sensor technology. Previously, he developed wallboxes as a firmware developer in the eMobility industry and worked on machine language processing.
